mexican food there

our bible study group that has been going on since late 2007 said good bye to yet another wonderful military wife.  jenae is such a genuine, warm hearted, tell ya like it is lady (not to mention how much knowledge this lady has about the bible!!) that will be missed!  she and her wonderful family is gonna be stationed at ft. stewart, ga.  they have already established a home there and have opened the doors so we all can visit!  here we come beach!!!!  hope they have mexican food there ;)

the results varied

okay, so today we all gathered and chopped up lots of fresh veggies.  i am trying to make myself eat more fresh veggies, so i thought i would bring the kids with me.  outside of green beans, peas, carrots and corn, they really do not eat the fresh raw vegetables that are so healthy.  they helped and asked lots of questions and then agreed to try one of each with some ranch.  the results varied...

today we spent the rainy afternoon creating posters for the countdown of eric leaving afghanistan.

being a kid

last evening it was nice enough to be outside late.  it is spring break, right?  anyway the kiddos decided to make an assembly line and 'fix' their bikes.  love being a kid.

best aunt award

aunt catie came to my rescue (once again) and watched the kiddos while i ran a few errands.  she taught them how to make tents ;).  of course she brought her dog, which kambel has a secret obsession for.  she got the best aunt award!

so we were invited to a chuck e. cheese birthday party a long time ago :), and we had a blast.  the party was for our friend kyle, who turned four.  happy birthday buddy!

kadence had a blast being the star at everything she did.  including finding chuck e. cheese and getting a picture with him.



kambel loved playing the games, even if she had no clue what to do.

and ty cracked me up!  i could hear him yelling for me and once i found him i saw him in this ride, buckled in like a big boy.  the problem was he could not unbuckle himself and was left stuck next to this passenger.  ty did n.o.t. like him, so he punched him in the kisser.  not the best solution, but funny!

kyle, the birthday boy, made chuck e. cheese pizza look goooood.

kadence so proud that she lost her other front tooth.  this happened the beginning of march and she is still showing people.  she was playing dress up when it happened.  i remember when those babies came in!  that is a total of five now.  the tooth fairy is broke and kadence is rich.

i know already!

nothing is wrong with me, besides i miss my husband.

nothing is wrong - it is just how my life is right now.

so no more feeling sorry for myself and back to getting things done.

happy birthday to you

this day five years ago, this sweet tiny little girl blessed our lives.  she woke this morning so stinkin' excited that she was five.  then the joyfulness went away once she realized that her party is tomorrow.  no cake planned for today, no presents for today, just another day.  well.  she.  was.  not.  going. to. have. it.  she cried for about 20 minutes.  we gave in and gave her a dress for her present.  she was happy for a second.  then she cried because she wasn't going to have a cake until her party.  we gave in and went to wal-mart and she picked her very own little cake.  so we celebrated tonight and she loved each and every note of 'happy birthday to you.'
