on another day, aunt momma and ty painted a bird house for her to take home.  ty was busy giving lots of instructions on how to paint it.  i think he may of even painted his name on it.

a good day

in april aunt kim (aka aunt mama) came to visit for a week.  we had so much fun.  i love this lady.  she is so very special to me.  on this day we met aunt catie downtown to eat at blackhorse.  not too many photos once we got inside, ty was a monkey.  aunt kim was able to see catie's awesome loft apartment also.  a good day.

she freaked out

i am in love with this kid.  he is too funny.  he comes up with the most random things, you can't help but laugh.  he was so rockin' it out with his underwear.  this is kadence's guitar - he snapped it out of her room and jammed on it before she freaked out.

we ventured out for a family night of bowling.  always so cute.  each kid had their little dance as they sent the ball down.  kadence would jump in the air, kambel would pray, and ty would do some type of a dance split. ha! note ty's face (earlier post). on the way out we attempted a family photo, oh my goodness, it cracks me up - especially kambels face.

i got lucky

in late march, eric was fighting some type of a virus that turned into something quite funny.  he had typical symptoms to include a low grade fever and just not feeling 'right'.  which, of course, landed him sleeping rights downstairs.  he ended up with an itchy rash on his torso then it was gone.  it was odd.  then i got a random call from the school nurse about kambel having Fifth's Disease.  WHAT? i asked?  mainly just wondering if i needed to get her out of school.  the nurse calmed me down and assured me that when you can see the rash, that you are no longer contagious.  symptoms included a low grade fever - like 99.0 and just not feeling right.  the funny part, when you know that they have the disease is when they break out in an somewhat itchy rash all over their body.  the rash lasts like 5 days, they look horrible, especially when they get hot. it is like a lace pattern with the rash with red cheeks. ha!  they are NOT contagious during the rash (although everyone thinks they are), but they are HIGHLY contagious during the fever stage, when you really don't know they have it.  go figure.  SO eric had fifth's disease (typically a childhood disease, and once you get it you don't get it again), gave it to kambel, who gave it to kadence, who gave it to ty and i got lucky.

kambel jude gray turned 6 years old this year.  wow.  six.  she L.O.V.E.S her birthday.  she always has.  she is the most giving, loving, generous little kid.  she loves her daddy.  she loves animals.  she still wants to be a veterinarian.  she does so well in school.  she is an awesome reader.  she is fast at math.  she is cautious to try different things.  she loves to snuggle so close that she will still your breath from you.  she is in love with justin bieber.  she is excited that selena has stepped aside for her.  she loves her aunt catie.  she writes the funniest stories ever.  we love you juder.

OMG OMG OMG OMG.  y'all have no idea!!!  this is the FASTEST i have EVER been able to upload photos to this site!  YAY.  i know some of you are frustrated with me for not keeping it up to date, well try uploading 4 photos in one hour.  that is why i fall behind... MAYBE this is the fix!  YAY!!!!

here are the results of the bird houses from march 2012 (gulp!)  the kids were able to paint and with daddy's help hang them on random trees in the backyard.  from bluebirds to squirrels, we have had wonderful creatures living in them!  maybe i can get 2012 caught up now!  thank you chrome...
