'til next time

also in september i was able to escape to my place of peace, arcola, IL.  aunt kim and i did a 5k walk and then celebrated with one of the towns biggest labor day celebrations i have ever seen!  there are a ton of vendors, food and other goodies, a ton of people and a huge parade! some people reserve their seats for the parade by 6am!  ha!  we ate so.much.food.  i can't believe we actually ate it all!  my stomach hurts now just looking at the pictures.  not to mention the night before i left, we ordered out for a taco pizza, geesh!  but it was GOOD.  til next time!

both out there

in early fall, ty started his first year of t-ball.  he was so excited!  he finally got to play after years of watching his sisters play!  he really didn't like the uniform, the shirt was too big, the pants were strange, he didn't understand the whole sock thing either.  funny kid!  eric was able to help coach this year too.  so fun to see them both out there.

loves her aunt catie

dad, sharon, the kids and myself was able to go send catie off when she deployed in 2012.  h.e.a.r.t. b.r.e.a.k.i.n.g.  no matter what, it is so stinking hard to send a family member off!  geesh!!  i shouldn't have taken the kiddos - a range of emotions, you can see them all in the photos.  hehe.  ty was mad, then happy.  kadence didn't want to show any emotion.  then kambel.  oh my goodness.  she cried.  and cried.  and cried.  poor little girl.  she loves her aunt catie.

fly army

in september eric got a few tickets from work for a titans football game here in nashville.  eric couldn't go, so dad, catie and i made it there!  it was perfect to spend time with catherine before she headed out to afghanistan.  fly army!

two young ladies

after all the excitement from the summer, finally we got to the first day of school!  kambel started 1st grade and kadence started 3rd.  kambel has definitely been trying different styles (i.e the long hair so she can be like rapunzel, and whats up with her shirt??? girls....)  they both have been doing SO well.  very VERY proud of these two young ladies.

these guys

uncle ben and his girls were able to come visit right before school started this year.  it is so fun to watch all the cousins together...  hopefully we can get all the kiddos together!  ha!  anyway, we went to eat at blackhorse and back to our house for a slumber party.  i love these guys...
